Holocaust Remembrance Day

Holocaust Remembrance Day

Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) begins on April 27 at sundown. The day presents us with an opportunity to reflect on and remember the past so that we may positively influence the future before us. Our team has put together a list of recommended non-fiction titles for adults, and have also partnered with the Canadian Society for Yad Vashem to offer an in-person exhibit at Central Library and a virtual visit with author and Holocaust survivor Andy Réti.

Stronger Together

Holocaust Survivor Andy Réti, co-author of Stronger Together, visits ahead of Holocaust Remembrance Day to share his experiences. Join us to hear his story. Presented in partnership with the Canadian Society for Yad Vashem.

Shoah Exhibit

From April 19 to 30, visit RHPL's Central Library for a historical photographic exhibit of the major historical aspects of the Holocaust called “Shoah – How Was It Humanly Possible?”
