Your New Oak Ridges Library

The old Oak Ridges Library located at 13085 Yonge Street is now closed as we transition to our new location at 34 Regatta Ave.

----

Since the default of the original construction contract and significant discussions with Zurich Insurance, Buttcon Limited took over construction of the new Oak Ridges Library in March 2019 to complete the remaining 10% of the work. Construction has progressed effectively with the majority of the focus on the interior finishes and as targeted we continue to work towards a late-fall 2019 opening.

Please note that the current Oak Ridges Moraine Library will be closed to the public as of Monday, September 9 to allow for the transition to the new building. During this transition period, residents can visit any other Richmond Hill Public Library branch. For hours of operation and information on which services are available at each branch, please call 905-884-9288 or visit our website.

Returning Materials During the Transition Period

The current Oak Ridges Library's final day of open, regular service to the public will be Saturday, Sept. 7, with the book drop accessible for returns up until Friday, Sept. 6.

Customers can return any collection items at any of our other three locations in Richmond Hill: Central Library, Richmond Green Library, or Richvale Library. Materials can be returned inside our branches during staffed hours, or outside 24/7 through external book bins.
