Oak Ridges Councillor Greg Beros Appointed Richmond Hill Public Library Board Chair
RICHMOND HILL, ON – Richmond Hill Public Library has announced that Oak Ridges Councillor Greg Beros has been appointed Board Chair of the Richmond Hill Public Library Board.
Councillor Beros was selected by his peers on the Library Board to serve in the vacant Board Chair position at the most recent Library Board meeting, held on Oct. 15, 2019.
The lifelong Oak Ridges resident has served as a trustee on the Library Board for 14 years; Councillor Beros sat on the Library Board from 2006 to 2018, and returned to serve his fourth term in May 2019.
Councillor Beros said, “Having served on the Library Board for four terms, I have come to appreciate the cultural investment that’s made in Richmond Hill. I am both pleased and honoured to be able to serve in this capacity. I want to thank the Library Board members for entrusting me with this responsibility as we open the new Oak Ridges Library.”
"As the new Chair of the Library Board, I am fully committed to expanding frontline services, including adding Sunday service at the new Oak Ridges branch,” concluded Councillor Beros.
