Join us as we celebrate the tenth anniversary of Culture Days weekend, and our fifth anniversary as Richmond Hill's Culture Day Hub.

We're pleased to announce that City Council has recognized Culture Days as an official celebration in Richmond Hill.

Art Conversations: The 17th Annual Richmond Hill Art & Studio Tour Preview

 Friday/Saturday, 10 AM  5 PM // Sunday, 12 PM to 5 PM
Take the opportunity to preview paintings, photographs, ceramics, and other artworks of the 17th Annual Richmond Hill Art & Studio Tour. Artists will be present for demonstrations and conversations.

Experiment with Watercolour

Watch life watercolour demonstrations by local artists from the Dynasty Watercolour Association. Enjoy a display of art work from around the world and try your hand at painting.

Family Storytime

Join us as we explore the magic of books, songs and rhymes for children and their parents or caregivers. All are welcome, but this program is best suited for ages 6 and up.

Origami Teaching Station with Origami Canada

Learn the art of Origami, a technique of folding a single sheet of paper into something amazing without the aid of scissors.

Build Your Own Animal Sculpture with Cindy Scaife, RH Artist in Residence 

Saturday, Sept. 28 | 1 - 4 PM
Families will have the opportunity to view Cindy's animal sculpture series called "A Puzzling Habitat" and create mini sculptures of a Red-Headed Woodpecker, a Jefferson Salamander or a Snapping Turtle.

Chinese Knot Weaving Art 

Saturday, Sept. 28 | 1:30 PM - 4 PM
Participants will have the hands-on opportunity to use the provided string to make beautiful ornaments. Chinese knotting is a decorative, handcrafted art that began as a form of Chinese folk art in the Tang and Song dynasty (960-1279 CE) in China.

STEAM Storytime

Join us as we explore your child's natural curiosity for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. We'll explore STEAM concepts through songs, stories and interactive play. All ages with an adult. Tickets for this free program will be given out on the first floor of the library.
