A message from our CEO
As we reflect on 2024, I am proud to share that Richmond Hill Public Library (RHPL) has once again demonstrated strength, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to serving the vibrant and diverse communities of our city.
In response to the evolving needs of Richmond Hill, we have undertaken a number of exciting initiatives this year. We expanded both our digital and in-person services, launched more inclusive programs designed to engage individuals of all ages and abilities, and significantly enriched our multicultural collections. These efforts have created new opportunities for learning, connection, and growth—ensuring that our library continues to be a vital resource for everyone we serve.
We also celebrated several key milestones, including the successful launch of our new catalogue, mobile app, and events platform, along with the introduction of our innovative Library of Things lending program. These advancements reflect our commitment to innovation and accessibility, positioning RHPL as a forward-thinking institution ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
None of this progress would be possible without the unwavering support of our dedicated staff and loyal customers. We are also profoundly grateful to the many community organizations that partnered with us to enrich our programs and exhibits. Their contributions were vital to upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Together, we look forward to continuing this journey of growth and service in the years ahead.
Sincerely,
Bruce Gorman, Chief Executive Officer
