Volunteering at RHPL

Are you a high school student looking for a volunteer opportunity?

In-person volunteer opportunities are now available. Apply today!

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, get experience and give back to your community. Earn volunteer hours through a variety of opportunities with Richmond Hill Public Library.

Please note: RHPL volunteers must be a high school student (Grade 9-12), and must either live or attend high school in Richmond Hill.

There’s a new way to sign up for volunteer opportunities with RHPL.

All RHPL volunteer opportunities are now posted on the City of Richmond Hill’s volunteer database.

Begin building your volunteer profile. Before you apply for a volunteer opportunity, you’ll have to complete the following steps on the City’s of Richmond Hill’s website, which include:

  1. Build your online profile in the volunteer database
  2. Register yourself to attend a Volunteer Orientation
  3. Submit any required forms as required
  4. Complete your Accessible Customer Service training

Once these steps are done, you can sign into your account and find a volunteer position that best fits your skills. You can also use the database to sign up for shifts, log your volunteer hours and set volunteer goals.
