Celebrate Asian Heritage Month

May is Asian Heritage Month, an annual celebration dedicated to recognizing and honouring the diverse cultures, traditions, and contributions of people of Asian descent. Visit RHPL branches to explore featured displays and collections that recognize and celebrate Asian cultures in our community. Plus, enjoy special programming and activities throughout the month.

May 15: Let's Draw Anime! (9–12 yrs) 
Learn more about the creative style that has taken the world by storm, and take your drawings to a new level in this Anime and Manga art class. (Registration required.)

May 15Teen Art Workshop: Anime (13–17 yrs)
Develop your character design skills through Japanese animation drawing techniques and explore the range of art styles in the Anime and Manga universe. (Registration required.)

May 21Asian American Representation in Literature: Rebecca F. Kuang (Adults)
Join us at the library to watch the livestream event of this virtual author talk. There will be tea, snacks, and the opportunity to ask the author questions in real time. (Registration required.)

May 25Tales and Tunes in Mandarin and Cantonese (All Ages)
