Learn more about our special events happening every Monday from November 28th to December 19th at Centre Court, near Entrance 4. Catch Family Storytime with staff picks followed by creative crafts to get you in the holiday spirit.

Silly Stories & Letters to Santa

November 28th, 10:30am -12:00 p.m.

Gather around for some belly laughs with your local library and holiday staff picks! Jenn will read two of her holiday favourites: All Right Already! by Jory John and A Moose in a Maple Tree by Troy Townsin. Then, Anete will help kids write and decorate letters to Santa that library staff will deliver to the North Pole!

Elf on a (Library) Shelf

December 5th, 10:30a.m.-12:00p.m

Bring your elf on the shelf for an elfish story, or make your very own paper bag with us! Jenn will tell the story of Pig the Elf by Aaron Blabey, followed by How to Catch an Elf by Adam Wallace. Then, Katherine will help kids craft paper bag elves and decorate their very own elf hats.

Gingerbread Tales & Treats

December 12th, 10:30a.m.-12:00 p.m.

'Tis the season for gingerbread treats! Jenn will read Most Marshmallows by Rowboat Watkins and Gingerbread Mouse by Katy Bratun. Then, Anete will guide kids in decorating scrumptious gingerbread cookies.

Classic Holiday Stories

December 19th, 10:30a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Gather around for holiday stories new and old! Shubha will read the story of Frosty the Snowman by Steve Nelson & Jack Rollins, and Hansel & Gretel by Bethan Woollvin. Explore light, love, and the diversity of the holiday season as we read Little Glow by Katie Sahota. Then, Jenn will help kids craft a wintry snowman.
