At Your Library
Strategic Plan (2026-2030)

Help Us Plan for the Future

We’re developing our new strategic plan, which will help to guide our direction from 2026-2030. Building our plan involves speaking to our community partners, residents of Richmond Hill, library users, and many other individuals. Sharing your story will help guide our plan and direct our efforts in the years to come.

Help us set the course for the next five years of programs, services, spaces and partnerships. Below, you’ll find opportunities to share how you use the Library today (if at all), what’s important to you, and how RHPL can support your future needs.

Your story matters. By sharing it, you help shape a library that is welcoming, inclusive, and ready for the future. The survey below is available in English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, and فارسی.

Story Sharing Across Generations - open now!

In this part of our strategic planning process, youth (ages 14-24) are invited to connect with adults about their experiences and hopes for the future.

Through one-on-one conversations, we’ll learn what matters most to our community today, and what we can aspire to in the future. Participating youth will receive 2 hours of volunteer time that counts toward high school graduation requirements, and they’ll also be entered into a draw for a chance to win a $50 gift card for Hillcrest Mall!

Interested? Contact Deborah Brooks, Strategic Advisor, StrategyCorp.

Storyboards and Community Pop Ups - closed

If you visited our branches during the month of December, you may have seen our colourful display boards. These visual displays provided community members with the opportunity to add their ideas and visions for the library’s present and future.

You may have also seen us at various community events and spaces around Richmond Hill in late 2025.

Your feedback and comments will be used to help us shape the future priorities of our library.
