Celebrate Persian Heritage Month

In March, Persian Heritage Month is celebrated and known as Nowruz, the beginning of the new year. Join us at the Library for special programming and explore our multilingual collection and recommended reads. 

Featured Events and Programs

Farsi Storytime (All Ages)

Nowruz Mobarak! Celebrate Persian New Year (also known as Nowruz) with a special storytime guest. Join in for Farsi-language stories and songs, and celebratory crafts. Tickets will be handed out 15 minutes before the program begins.This program will take place in the Children's Program Room.
 


Mark-Making and Calligraphy

Adults (teens welcome) 

Celebrate Persian Heritage Month with this interactive art performance! Drop by the library and watch artists Azadeh Pirazimian and Elsa Hashemi; then pick a material and make your own mark. This program will take place in the Lobby at the Central Branch.
