Book a Study Room with Your Library Card
Your library membership allows you to book study rooms for meetings, interviews, and study sessions. Study rooms are not available for use by commercial or for-profit organizations. To rent a room, visit the room rentals webpage.
Member Guidelines

All members using study rooms must act in accordance with the Library's Code of Conduct policy.

Room booker must be present and show valid identification before accessing the room.

Multiple room bookings to accommodate larger study groups not permitted to avoid noise and traffic disruptions between rooms.

Room user is responsible for leaving the room clean and tidy. All garbage must be disposed of so the room is ready for the next user.

Personal belongings should not be left unattended in these rooms.

Any damage should be reported immediately to library staff.

Misuse of the room will result in denial or ban from study room use in the future.

Customers who are repeatedly late or fail to show up for their bookings may have their booking privileges suspended for one month.

If you no longer need your reserved room, please cancel it online or by calling the library to avoid being marked as a no-show.
Study Room Booking Requirements

A valid library card, along with providing their full name and email address.

Study rooms can be booked one hour at a time up to a maximum of four hours, per day, per member.

Study rooms can be booked online up to five days in advance.

Bookings are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Room reservations are not transferable.

The library reserves the right to cancel any advance booking for library activities.

The minimum requirement for booking a room is one person.

The room will be held for 30 minutes after the booking time, at which time the room will become available for booking to a new member.

Study rooms may be booked for library purposes, including library programs, meetings and training.

Children 12 years of age or under are not permitted to reserve a room.
How to Book a Study Room
Study rooms are available to book for free at Central Branch and Oak Ridges Branch. These rooms are designed for small groups of 1-4 people and are perfect for studying or group work. Rooms can be booked for up to 4 hours.
Follow these easy steps to reserve a study room at the library:

Go to the booking webpage and look for the study room section.

Select the room and date from the calendar.

Once selected, read over your booking details and accept the terms of use.

Complete the form online and submit to reserve the room. You will receive a confirmation email with your booking details once the study room has been booked. If you do not receive an email, please contact the branch.

Yes, same-day bookings can be made online if a room is available. If you are in the library, staff can assist with booking using the library’s reservation system.
- Can I book a study room after library hours?

Study rooms are only available during regular library hours. Reservations cannot be made for times when the library is closed.
