Discover the Joy of Reading

The TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, interests and abilities. This club is free to join and offered at public libraries across Canada!

This program inspires children to develop a lifelong love of reading, while celebrating Canadian authors and illustrators. It also helps with literacy development and contributes to preventing the summer slide.

How It Works

Richmond Hill Public Library's TD Summer Reading Club runs from July 2 to August 24.

Learn more about the program:

  • Register in-branch after June 24, at our launch party on June 28 or online. Registration is free and open to children from preschool to Grade 8. You can also visit your nearest branch to register your child after the launch date.

  • Your registration includes a SRC kit with some fun swag items, and a log book where you and your child can keep track of their summer reading journey.

  • Use the log book provided in your kit to keep track of what your child has read and visit our branches to share your progress with us. For every week that you share what you’ve read, you’ll be entered into one of our fabulous Summer Reading Club prize draws.

  • Check in at your RHPL branch to get on our Wall of Fame, and check out books, magazines, and more!

  • Attend our SRC programs. See a full list of programs below!
